MARCH 2024

    

Gorgeous piece by Michelle of CuriousDot, in her colourful boho style. This is the new Annie Sloan colour Frida Blue with IOD Paint Inlay - Vida Flora.

    

Narelle refinished this dresser by sanding back to raw wood and then applying a tan wash using Fusion Mineral Paint in the colour Putty. It looks like a new piece!

FEBRUARY 2024

    

Stunning images created by Perth food photographer Reiko, who uses Annie Sloan Chalk Paint to make perfect coloured back drops. These photos feature Burgundy and Rodmell

   

Neutral boho buffet by Janine, so different from the before! She did a tan wash and then on the doors painted over a raised wallpaper pattern with Pureco Silk Finish in Seashell

Adorable resin mushrooms painted by Anne. She used Fusion Rose Gold Wax on the stems and undersides to capture the natural shade of specimens. This is from the Iron Oorchid Designs Toadstool mould


JANUARY 2024

  

Artist David Martino brought this claw foot table to life by painting in Annie Sloan Svenska Blue, adding mouldings and using El Greco gold powder pigment

Kitchen make-over by Maddy, who used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in the colour Country Grey, to go with the brick, bench tops and tiles. And of course, some gorgeous décor styling. 

DECEMBER 2023


This is a fun stencil by My Stencil Lady. Taryn from Interior Avenue used red paint to create a Christmas themed sign. It could also be applied on a Santa stocking.

Mum Michelle used Annie Sloan Athenian Black Chalk Paint and Gold Leaf for her stunning hall table.


Her son Francis, only 11 years old - our youngest here to date - painted his table in Annie Sloan Coolabah Green Chalk Paint and added Gold Leaf.

Mary's family revived her son's wooden tricycle using Fusion Mineral Paint in Fort York Red, and it's just like new again. 

  
Kim from KimItUp is an upcycling magician, always tackling interesting pieces. Here she kept the original chippy paint finish and added an A1 Artists First transfer, pairing the colours perfectly. 

 

SEPTEMBER 2023

      

A commission piece for one of our customers, by Hayley of HALO Furniture Creations. Fusion Mineral Paint in Cashmere, sprayed to give a flawless finish, with Redesign Décor Paper Garden Waltz

    

Ashley of Upcycled Interiors Co. used Pureco Silk Finish in Blush to paint these sets of drawers. It's a soft pink, perfect for the bedroom. 

     

Customer Hannes first visited in May to buy many colours of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint for his family to create a mural in the children's room and here is the finished project. They cleverly incorporated features in the room, painting the light as the sun, and making leafy curtains. So fun - the type of room kids dream of!

AUGUST 2023 

     

A darling little vintage cabinet by Lisa B Designs. She used Annie Sloan Paris Grey Chalk Paint, with Craqueleur (Step 1 & 2) to create an aged effect. The transfer is called Floral Court by Redeisgn With Prima. Swoon!

Petra updated her buffet hutch, using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White. To add interest she painted the shelving blue and changed the knobs.   

    

Bedside cabinets by Hayley of HALO Furniture creations. Paint colour is  Pistachio by Pureco Silk Finish. Such a fresh makeover!

JULY 2023

This is a combination of two Redesign Transfers - Bug Whisperer and Papillon Collection. An adorable bedside table by Verma Sauls. 

    

A very fun transformation by Donna Brown - she turned this old piece into a drinks cabinet using the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint colour Scandinavian Pink, along with gold paint, wallpaper and a tassel. 

      

Artist Natalie Zuchetti's ceramic sculpture was on exhibition at Metamorphosis Gallery in Willeton. She used Fusion Mineral Paint - Ash to give the clay a charcoal look, then Victorian Lace for dusting the limbs. To add a dewy finish on the skin she finished with some Fusion Clear Wax. 

JUNE 2023

This beautifully decorated piece was the start of Toni Morgan's upcycling journey. She used a lot of techniques and products, including the Bee Trellis Stencil and Cobalt Flourish Redesign decoupage paper

    
Elizabeth has transformed many pieces throughout her home using her favourite Annie Sloan products - Paloma Chalk Paint and Bright Gold Gilding Wax. 

Heather from City Beach Furniture gave these bedsides a classy update, pairing Fusion Mineral Paint in Midnight Blue with our Small Metallic Gold knobs.

MAY 2023

Helen Martin used leftover Annie Sloan Chalk Paint on her brush, to dye an old white top. What a great idea! The pigments of Capri Pink certainly are vibrant.  

  

Heather from City Beach Furniture spruced up these Amart bedsides tables with Fusion Mineral Paint in Bayberry. It's a very easy green to love. 

This kitchenette was painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, finished with black wax and features the Redeisgn with Prima Stamp Vintage Wallpaper. By Sindy of Dowden Designs. 

   

An old hutch piece and book shelf turned into a key hanger and shoe rack. Michelle used Pureco Silk Finish in Calico and Driftwood Stain & Glaze.

APRIL 2023

 

This stunning ensemble is by Lisa B Designs. She created an aged look by adding texture mix to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint - Athenian Black, finishing with Clear Wax, Dark Wax and stenciling with Bright Gold Gilding Wax

  

Michelle painted this sweet makeup table in the Annie Sloan soft pink called Antionette, which is perfect for feminine vintage pieces and matches so well with Bright Gold Gilding Wax

  

Hayley's favourite paint is Fusion Mineral Paint so she was super thrilled when it arrived in store and was first one to buy a tub. She updated this commission piece using the popular colour Midnight Blue

MARCH 2023

A happy, bright chair and cushion, featuring the Redesign With Prima Transfer - Sunflower Afternoon. By Amber of The Junkyard Designs. 

    

These plain pieces were in desperate need of a makeover, so Karen gave them a new life with paint and decoupage. She had fun using papers from Grace On Design and the Royal Horticulture Society (in collaboration with Annie Sloan).  

Sign painter Kate Stroud was commissioned to create this cool mural on a bedroom wall. She used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint project pots in Provence, Burgundy, Rodmell, Emile, Barcelona Orange, Arles, Tilton, and Chateau Grey.

FEBRUARY 2023

  

Nicole from Off The Hinges, who specializes in mid century furniture, completely transformed this sideboard, using a retro patterned wallpaper and painting with Pureco Silk Finish - Inkwell.

 

One of Lu's first upcycling projects and wow - I love the unique use of the Annie Sloan Paisley Floral Garland Stencil on this mid century piece. Chalk painted in Athenian Black and decorated with Bright Gold Gilding Wax.

Denise used the A1 Artists First Transfer - Fanciful Garden to decorate this bedside table and make it special for her granddaughter's room. 

JANUARY 2023

 

Anne has been experimenting with Redesign with Prima moulds, making coloured resin for her projects (you can also create metallic resin by adding our powder pigments by El Greco). They look so good with raw timber.

  

    

This project is by Emma who is renovating her cottage. She made a frame for the bathroom mirror using an old piece of skirting board, then glued on FlexiWood mouldings and painted with chalk paint for a vintage effect. 

  

Jenny layered Annie Sloan Chalk Paint to give this drop front bureau a beautiful makeover. A base coat of French Linen, then white washed with Old White.

DECEMBER 2022

    

These plain Christmas trees from Kmart were transformed by Allison, who loves texture and patina. She creatively used El Greco pigment powder by sprinkling it over the mouldings, then dry brushing it across. A stunning effect!  

  

For her pieces, Jen Murrin chose two rich colours from the Pureco Silk Finish range, Brick and Harbour, which contrast so well with her whitewashed interior.

NOVEMBER 2022

   

 Annie Sloan Chalk Paint purples - Paloma, Emile and Old Violet - helped Elizabeth add colour to her home, which has a lot of black and white. She also used Bright Gold Gilding Wax, a beautiful combination. 

     

Pascaline tackled her fireplace surround, which reaches meters high to the ceiling. After a good scrub to get the surface clean, she applied Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, diluted 50% with water - Pure for the joints and Old White for the brick faces. She then did extra coats on some bricks to create intrigue. Well done Pascaline!

Sindy of Dowden Designs made this sign with a raised stencil and dry brushed over the FlexiWood moulding Ornamental Birds. A special gift for her family. 

OCTOBER 2022

  

Kitchen dresser painted in Pureco Silk Finish, the very popular colour called Rainforest, a dark teal. By Hayley of HALO Furniture Creations.

  

A clever campervan fit out by Sindy Dowden, using a buffet to create the kitchen bench, finished with our Bouquet knobs.

Gorgeous drinks cabinet update using Annie Sloan Amsterdam Green Chalk Paint, sealed in Clear Wax, then darkened with Black Wax, by Emily and Mary. 

 

Taryn Gentry of Interior Avenue used mouldings by FlexiWood Australia for this chest makeover and stylish décor letter, enhancing their details by finishing with Annie Sloan Dark Wax

   

First project for Danica, who used Annie Sloan Pure to give this buffet a fresh look. With updated handles it looks like a brand new piece!

JULY 2022

      

A once boring desk, rescued and reimagined by Oonagh Martin. She applied Flexiwood Scroll Set 1382, then highlighted the mouldings using Annie Sloan Gilding Wax - Bright Gold

Barb had a lot of fun updating these unique old bedside cupboards. She chose Mint Mineral Paint in Time and Space, then applied Hokus Pokus Transfer Marvelous Gardens. A beautiful match. 

JUNE 2022

    

Creations By Jacinta modernized this display table using Pureco products. She painted with Silk Finish Carbon, taping off sections to create stripes, then finished with their Satin Sealer to protect the beautiful jarrah timber.  

   

This drop front bureau was a commission piece, painted and stenciled by Raven.
She used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Athenian Black and Emperor's Silk.
Raven has stenciled many furniture pieces, and uses a sponge for crisp results. 

 

MAY 2022

    

Hayley from HALO Furniture Creations loves Hampton's style. For this corner cabinet she used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White and Duck Egg Blue, then added Hokus Pokus Transfer Fleur Frisee.
It's the perfect use of a small transfer.

 

 

Dominika designed this special bedside table for her son, who is a huge soccer fan. What an awesome mum! She used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint colours in Napoleonic Blue, Emperor's Silk and Pure

      

Vintage dresser painted by Maddy George. Can you believe this was her first project? Wow! She mixed Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Chateau Grey with Pure, and then applied the A1 Artists First Transfer - Remarkable Garden.
